Lion’s Mane Sauté Recipe

Lion’s Mane mushrooms are fluffy, tender, and subtly seafood-like in flavor. This quick sauté recipe highlights their natural taste while keeping preparation easy for home cooks.

Ingredients

  • 200g Lion’s Mane mushrooms, cleaned and torn into chunks
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: lemon juice for finishing

Instructions

  1. Prepare Mushrooms: Tear the Lion’s Mane into bite-sized chunks, removing tough stems.
  2. Heat Oil/Butter: In a pan, heat olive oil or butter over medium heat until shimmering.
  3. Sauté Garlic: Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  4. Cook Mushrooms: Add Lion’s Mane mushrooms to the pan. Cook for 6–8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until lightly golden.
  5. Season: Add thyme, salt, and black pepper. Toss gently to combine.
  6. Finish & Serve: Drizzle with lemon juice (optional). Serve immediately as a side dish or over grains/pasta.
